6:00pm Mingle
6:15pm Welcome | Flustered-to-Fierce coordinator
Kicks off the lab, introduces guests and provides insight on how the labs work.
6:20pm Volunteer recruits needed
Volunteer #1 | Timer Tracks time and provides countdown.
Volunteer #2 | Fill pause counter
Tracks the ‘you know’s’, ‘ah’s’, ‘um’s’ and other fillers. Writes them down.
Volunteer #3 | Videographer
Takes video with presenter’s phone (if desired)
6:30pm Topic # 1 | Negotiation Strategies
Each speaker will have 60 – 75 seconds to share their negotiation strategies. After all speakers present, we will practice negotiating together.
7:00pm Topic # 2 | Introduce myself - speed-dating style
This part of the lab gets us comfortable introducing ourselves in a 'cold call' setting. We will do two rounds - one for work intros and the other for personal intros.
8:00pm Lab session closes
Coordinator will give evaluation of overall lab.
Most memorable speed-dating intro wins a prize.
