For many families, the college acceptance process can feel overwhelming, confusing and sometimes invalidating to the child. Years of hard work are impossibly packaged for showcasing to a college admissions officer that has 15 minutes to decide the fate of your student’s academic future. Due to recent headlines in the news regarding the college admissions scandal it can even feel offensive to go through the rigorous process when others may be getting in the backdoor. In effort to level the playing field and offer useful advice to your family, I’ve put together a call on College Planning.
The goal of the call will be to help your student find the right college fit. Joining me is Dale Price, owner of Access College America, a college planning guru with a background in college admissions at the LA Film School and a former scholarship chair. Dale will share his insight from years in the industry, covering the following 4 topics:
The Timeline for High School academics and testing
What does College Fit mean?
SAT/ACT Advice (there will be NO recommendation to seek special testing privileges!)
The call will be via WebEx to include interactive slides and handouts. Please join the WebEx call on Thursday April 11th at 5pm ET . RSVP to Dana if you plan on attending to get the WebEx link.
