We receive conflicting information about fear and how to deal with it. On the one hand, we hear things like, ‘Fear is false evidence appearing real’. From this we get the message that we should just push past our feelings and take action. On the other hand, we hear ‘Listen to your gut. Your intuition is your best guide.’ So, in this case we should pause and rethink our actions, potentially missing out on an opportunity.
In reality, your intuition sending you a warning and genuine fear are often difficult to discern. The two can feel similarly in your body and sound the same in your head. How do we know if the fear we are experiencing is friend or foe? Is it our ally steering us to a better path or is it the enemy holding us back from being our best selves?
May’s Leadership Lunch will feature a guided discussion on fear, how to distinguish it from your intuition and how to determine the best course of action in the face of it.
Leadership Lunches held bimonthly and are open to Executive Council and Innovator level members.
The cost of registration includes a two-course prix fixe lunch.
Space is limited. Please register by 5/20/19.
