Ellevate & Verizon Present 360-Degree Leadership Workshop: Leading Wherever You Are
Washington, DC • June 11, 2019
Ellevate and Verizon bring you the third event in our partnered series for women in Tech and Telecom: a workshop focused on 360-degree leadership and how to lead no matter what position you hold.
Tuesday, June 11, 2019 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM EDTNational Union Building

Washington, DC 20004
We have wonderful news: you don't have to be in charge to be a great leader. Whether you are entry-level or the CEO, you no longer have to consider management as hierarchical and, instead, can develop influence from any position within a team or field.
While this kind of 360-degree leadership is incredibly impactful, it naturally comes with challenges and questions: What does being a leader mean? Can you call yourself a leader or do you need to be deemed one by someone else? How do you courageously lead or create a culture of empathy and integrity?
In the third event of our series working to create a community for women in Tech and Telecom, join Ellevate Network and Verizon for a tactical workshop where we'll confront these tough questions, discuss personal struggles and solutions, and sharpen our 360-degree leadership acumen. You'll walk away with tools in your toolbox that will help you manage up, down, and peer-to-peer, as well as exploring:
- Different ways to think about what being a leader means
- Ways to hone your leadership skills wherever you are
- Where you can apply 360-degree leadership within you team's structure—whether you are formally leading others, driving volunteers, or influencing peers
- How you can lead with empathy and inclusion
Leaders come in all shapes and sizes—and from all parts of the workplace. Don't miss the chance to come together with a strong community of women and learn from the best about leading wherever you are.
