Ellevate & Verizon Present - Mentoring Meetup: Impostor Syndrome and the Unrealistic Pursuit of Perfectionism

Do you find yourself convinced that you're not as talented as people believe? Are you attempting to reach impossible standards? Impostor Syndrome and perfectionism affect many of us at one time or another. Besides causing anxiety and stress, both obstacles can really hurt your professional growth.

Join us for the next event in partnership with Verizon. This Mentoring Meetup is a "speed dating" style experience in which mentees will have the opportunity to connect with several mentors during the course of the event in short, but effective, meetings. This session will be about learning ways to combat Impostor Syndrome and the need for perfection.

Q: Who can sign up to be a MENTOR?

A: Mentor spots are typically reserved for Innovator and Executive Council members, but we’ll consider other member levels on a case by case basis.

Q: I’m an Innovator or Executive Council member. Can I sign up as a MENTEE?

A: Yes, absolutely! Established professionals need guidance, too.

Q: Does this event require a long-term mentor/mentee relationship?

A: No. This event is a one-off stand-alone occurrence and does not require you commit to an ongoing relationship. They are designed that way for optimal, 'in real time' advice without the complication of long-term commitment.

Q: How much does it cost to participate in this event?

A: Mentors can register FREE of charge. Tickets for mentees are $15.
