Learn the basic principles of design thinking to help you think about your life like a designer, playfully and with optimism.

Tuesday, March 15, 2016 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT

Our life is our biggest project; but there’s no roadmap, and the rules are ever changing. This is where design and design thinking comes to help. We can think about our life, its constraints and opportunities, with tools borrowed from the design world. You can apply these tools to your life, get familiar with them, and use them to solve any problem (at work or elsewhere).

In this Jam Session, learn the basic principles of design thinking to help you think about your life like a designer, playfully and with optimism. Ayse Birsel, Co-founder of New York-based design studio, award-winning product designer and author of the book “Design the Life You Love," along with design strategist Seda Evis, will give you the outline of Deconstruction: Reconstruction design thinking process and its tools to gain new creative thinking techniques.

Topics will cover:

  • What is design thinking and how does design solves problems differently
  • How to deconstruct your life, taking the whole apart and breaking your preconceptions, and reconstruct, making the right choices and putting your life together in a new
  • Express your new life vision, share and prototype

Seda Evis is the Director of Strategy at the award-winning design and innovation studio, Birsel+Seck. Seda is a business strategist and conceptual thinker with extensive experience in technology, operations, planning, design and design management.

Ayse Birsel is the Co-founder and Creative Director of the award-winning design and innovation studio, Birsel+Seck, and the creator of Design the Life You Love, a coursework and book that teaches non-designers how to create a meaningful life using her design process, Deconstruction:Reconstruction™, and its tools.
