Mariam, Sorry I didn't see this before the presentation. Hopefully the following answers will help. 1. I think the topics really come from knowing the industry. Usually, the influencers to your target market are either senior leadership within the large companies in your target market or other consultants and the like who sell to your target market and are seen as authorities in helping your target market. For example, I subscribe to all of the major publications that provide news to financial advisors and help the advisors be better advisors. The articles in those publications are usually hitting the hottest topics. So share them or build off of them.

2. You can find LinkedIn's "official" Influencers in the Pulse app. Go to Interests/Pulse in the main LinkedIn Navigation. You'll see a three line icon next to the title Pulse (that type of icon is now being referred to as a "hamburger" icon because of it's shape). The channels and publications that you are following will be listed. At the bottom, you'll see "Discover More" and when you click on that, you will see the official Influencers that you can follow. The less formal influencers in your target market that you can connect to, will likely give you the biggest bang for your buck, so try to identify and connect to them. 3. As far as app/guides, I personally use HootSuite, Send Social Media, Engator, Tweetjukebox, and Mailchimp for different purposes in my social media and marketing. If you are looking for suggestions for a specific task or tactic, please share and I might have a better recommendation of a tool that could help whether I'm using it or not.
