Owning your story and using it to build connections is tough, but it's so worth it. Kathryn Montbriand can help you through it.

As leaders, we are asked to be authentic and vulnerable, own our stories, and be our whole selves. Doing so makes us relatable and approachable. It makes people want to be part of our team and go after our mission.

In reality, owning your story can be difficult. We all have parts of our stories that are difficult to confront, even when we are alone. Amplify that by 100 when we are in front of an audience or with colleagues.

Owning your story and using it to build connections as whole human beings is tough, but it's so worth it. In this Jam Session, you will:

  • Learn how a simple tool can help you develop your personal story.
  • Understand how to use your story to build deeper connections with your team and colleagues.
  • Discover new ways to appreciate the stories of those around you.

Kathryn Montbriand has explored leadership practices at start-ups and large corporations in the US and abroad. She has a passion for driving engagement in the teams she leads, and especially for creating an inclusive culture where all associates can thrive. She and her sister blog about leadership and life in corporate America at 10pointfont.

Hi there! I am a Critical Care Physician and Medical Simulation Educator, currently on a sabbatical with about 5.5 years of work experience. I have had some very interesting life experiences and struggling to find a way to share them in a meaningful way, build a narrative for the benefit of every woman. I think storytelling is a powerful, validating and inspirational tool - one that I have benefited from greatly.
