Introduce yourself to our audience. Tell us who you are and what you are currently focused on.

I'm a connector. My goal is to empower the people around me by supporting them with the skills and resources they need to be successful leaders in their communities. My current focus is on the Future of Work and Reinveinting Work. I believe organizations that are decentralized and self-managed are the future, and the key to equity. I've joined this global movement and co-organize the Washington DC Chapter meetups to advocate for change.

Tell us about your favorite Ellevate Network memory or success story. Why are you a member?

I heard about Ellevate through as a great networking community for entrepreneurs. I joined in June 2020 so my first meeting was virtual and in Atlanta, even though I'm based in DC. I figured, why not? Them womxn I met were so inspiring and genuine in their offers to help me on my journey. I met up with a fellow member, Lauren Hebbel, a few times after that and she helped me to improve on my business purpose statement. I'm forever thankful for her time and perspective.

How would you define your professional mission?

To power progress by projectizing goals.

What qualities does it take for someone to be successful in your line of work?

A little bit of risk, a good amount of organization, and a lot of caring. I'm an entrepreneur and a project manager. I bring order into chaos, and then I reorganize it all over again.

We’d love to hear more about your career path. What led you to where you are today?

My career has been varied. With a love of languages, but a terrible American accent, I started my career in a translation agency as the project coordinator. As I grew and expanded my skillset, I moved into project manager roles at a market research agency, a non-profit, and an insurance and employee benefits firm. The only thing consistent about my roles was project management and people empowerment.

In 2019 I decided to take the leap to start my own company, CoApt Projects ( I help other PMs transfer their skills into contract or temp-to-hire roles. We are a network with diverse backgrounds, allowing us to offer unique and experienced perspectives for our clients.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Working with a variety of people and collaborating to sort through complex challenges. We're passionate about making an impact for our clients and helping them to be more effective in achieving their goals.

What legacy do you hope to leave through your work?

I hope to be, and to unite, thought leaders for human-centered work.

What is your morning ritual?

I've heard some very inspiring rituals in this network! I'm a night-owl so my mornings are varied depending on my deadlines and priority for the day. What is consistent in my ritual is self-care. Every morning I take a moment to decide what I need most to face the day... Sometimes that's a cup of coffee, or a morning walk with my dog, and other times it's another 30 minutes of snooze time.

What does success look like to you?

Success is every step of progress we make towards transparent business practices, participatory decision making, and collaborative achievements for the communities our clients serve.

What advice would you offer future leading ladies wishing to break into your industry?

Contact me and let's have a conversation. I'm an open book and will gladly share anything I learn along the way. Our journey is not meant for us alone.
