I am an experienced healthcare lawyer focused on seeking my next in-house position.

I joined Ellevate so that I have a community of women to interact with and learn from.

How would you define your professional mission?

My professional mission to help bring innovative and transformative change to the healthcare industry in order to improve patients’ lives.

What qualities does it take for someone to be successful in your line of work?

As an in-house lawyer, I have to provide not only sound legal advice but also be involved in the business of the company and to be a part of the solution and growth strategy of the company.

What is one of your most memorable career accomplishments?

Helping a Fortune 500 company re-imagine and implement a whole new business model across all 50 states.

What are some career challenges on your radar?

I am currently in between jobs and am finding it challenging to be considered for higher level positions that I believe I am ready for.

What legacy do you hope to leave through your work?

I want to say that I helped a company improve patients’ lives.

What would you say your personal superpower is?

Calm in a storm. I have repeatedly proven myself to be exceptionally adept at handling crisis situations at work. When faced with a crisis, I can become hyper-focused and am able to see a clear way to get the company through the crisis in a favorable way. During those times, I have demonstrated strong leadership skills.

What does success look like to you?

I want to be General Counsel at a transformative healthcare company that helps improve patients’ lives.

What is the best career advice you ever received?

Don’t manage people, lead them.
