Introduce yourself to our audience. Tell us who you are and what you are currently focused on.

I'm the Founder & CEO of SJC Digital Marketing, a boutique agency focused on growing audiences, customer loyalty, and sales for e-commerce brands. Our specialty is the fashion and accessories industries. My professional background is in public relations, marketing, events, advertising, and social media. I've worked for a tech PR firm, GUESS? Inc., and iHeartRadio. I earned my Master's degree at NYU in Digital Marketing. My extensive marketing background helps put together a comprehensive and personalized strategy for each client.

Tell us about your favorite Ellevate Network memory or success story. Why are you a member?

Joined an Ellevate Squad group and was telling the group about an event where I was speaking. One of my Squad members live in San Francisco and stopped by to support me and I really appreciated it! It was also great to meet IRL. I'm a member of Ellevate because I'm looking to meet like-minded, ambitious women that are working to make their professional and personal lives better.

How would you define your professional mission?

Our mission is to help businesses tell their story, build a community, and garner sales.

What qualities does it take for someone to be successful in your line of work?

Being results oriented and client focused is what makes us successful and keeps people coming back for more.

What is one of your most memorable career accomplishments?

Reaching my year-end financial goal and being able to hire a full-time employee in month 4 of this year has been a huge win!

What are some career challenges on your radar?

Figuring out how to grow while maintaining amazing results is something that's on my mind lately.

What project have you worked on that you’re most proud of? Why?

Helping our client double the number of sales she earns while increasing her prices after she had been in business for 6 years was a huge win for us.

We’d love to hear more about your career path. What led you to where you are today?

My family is full of business owners and it has been a dream to own my own business. When I reached a crossroads in my career, I knew it was time to dive into starting a business. There have been lots of ups and downs but I'm so grateful that I stuck through it.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Seeing happy clients! Love it when we reach the point that we've taken their sales to the next level.

What legacy do you hope to leave through your work?

I hope to leave an impression of growth and expansion. I want people to feel good about their decision to work with us.

What is it about your job that makes you feel it’s the right fit for you?

Meeting new people and helping others are two things I love to do so my business is a natural fit.

Who are your role models?

Any marketing, branding, or PR agency owner that has reached a level of success that I admire. My peers are my biggest role models!

What is your morning ritual?

Doing the Miracle Morning has been a game changer for me and starting my day right. S - Silence - meditation/prayer A - Affirmations - speak what I want to happen into existence V - Visualization - imagine my goals as if they were happening today E - Exercise - 3 sets of 20 of quick exercises like jumping jacks to moost my energy R - Read - read a few pages of a personal development book S - Scribe - write 10 things I'm grateful for

What is your favorite social media site? Why?

Instagram - Love scrolling through beautiful photos and funny memes!

What would you say your personal superpower is?

Being empathetic and a great listener

What does success look like to you?

Success looks like flexibility with time so I can spend it with the people I love while earning money doing something I love.

Is work-life balance a problem for you? What is one no-fail tactic you use to create balance?

It happens sometimes and I've gotten good at noticing the signs so I can recallibrate and spend a little more time resting. I balance by scheduling! Love my calendar and it helps me stay in check personally and professionally.

What advice would you offer future leading ladies wishing to break into your industry?

Working in an office is a great way to learn on someone else's dime. Soak in as much information as you can.

What is the best career advice you ever received?

Be prepared. Before every meeting, take a few minutes to jot down your thoughts so you can have a successful meeting.

What is one piece of advice you’d offer working moms?

I'm not a mom just yet so feel like I can learn a lot from working moms! I don't know how they do it.
