Lisa Arning Receives "Power Women In Business Award"
On May 8th, 2019, Lisa Arning, Ellevate Long Island Chapter Co-President was honored at The Long Island Press Power Women In Business Awards event at Leonard's of Great Neck.
“We have the honor of recognizing change makers, rainmakers, innovators, educators, and visionaries — all using your voice to impact change,” Joanna Austin, publisher of the Long Island Press, told the crowd.
Lisa Arning, Founder of Admission Technician, LLC, was recognized as a woman entrepreneur who has built a business helping families navigate the college admissions process while managing several non-profit efforts focused on hunger, homelessness, access to education and women's parity.
Lisa serves as the National Co-Leader of KPMG’s Family of Literacy (KFFL) This flagship program is focused on eradicating childhood illiteracy across the country by putting books and educational resources in the hands of at-risk children. She also serves on the Board of Directors of The Interfaith Nutrition Network (The INN) Soup Kitchens and Shelters and is a member of the Garden City/Mineola Rotary Club.
