Beta Hatch Closes $3M Series A Funding Round
Beta Hatch, the insect-growing startup looking to revolutionize the animal feed business through its science and technology, has closed their $3M series A funding round.
By 2050, the current food system will be unable to supply adequate protein to the world's population. Beta Hatch is aiming to industrialize the production of insect protein to solve the future protein deficit by efficiently farming insects as animal feed. On April 30, we closed our series A1 funding round in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic when many startups in our situation lost funding entirely. We did this by quickly re-inventing our investment and go-to-market plans and successfully splitting the funding round into to parts around our new milestones.
