Dhana Inc. Providing Cloth Masks to First Responders, Launches the Circular Fashion Collection
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dhana Inc. used their resources to supply cloth face masks for first responders, as well as for customers on their website. They've also launched the Circular Fashion Collection, designed to reduce waste by repurposing, repairing and upcycling the customer's clothing to create new pieces.
Dhana Inc. like all B Corps have always looked that “paying it forward” by investing in people and planet.
During COVID19, we realized that we have the knowledge, know-how and access to supply chains here in the US and abroad to pivot and serve our communities. This was reinforced when we were contacted to supply cloth masks to our first responders our fire and police force – and we did, over 200 and counting. And now Dhana is offering cloth masks online to our citizens here in the US and all over the world - supporting women workers and underserved communities.
We are thriving as together we collectively are doing GOOD in the world.
Similarly, in the case of the climate, we have seen tremendous positive change in our air and waters during COVID19. In the same realm, Dhana realized that we need to continue to be the solution to climate change. We persevered and pivoted towards a solution in the fashion industry. Dhana empowers the consumers by tackling the huge amounts of textile waste generated which causes carbon emissions and water pollution (to be exact over 70% of all clothing and apparel end up in the landfills).
And as a result, Dhana has pioneered and launching the Circular Fashion Collection which is about Co-Creating, Providing Value with the Customer from the design stage all the way to completion with “used clothing” – by repurposing, repairing and upcycling your clothing together with excess fabric, we together make new clothing – 100% customizable and unique to each individual. Our first product is Dhana's Circular Memory Jacket. This is our future and circular fashion will enable all of us to work towards keeping the waste out of our natural environments.
We are thriving and surviving because we, B Corps invest in social and environmental solutions. This pandemic has brought to the forefront the need for principles of circularity, interdependence and collective human collaboration.
