Veena Jayadeva Promoted to Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Guardian Life

Veena Jayadeva was promoted to Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Guardian Life in July 2020, having led the function at the Fortune 250 company since March 2020. 

Veena is a corporate responsibility leader with extensive experience in philanthropy, employee engagement, inclusion and diversity, community outreach and program management. A former strategy consultant and nonprofit executive, she has spent 18 years in international development, microfinance and financial inclusion.


She holds a MA in International Economics and a BA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University. She received a MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, where she was the sole recipient of the business school's highest merit award for "outstanding leadership, professional promise, high level of academic achievement and contribution to MIT Sloan." Veena also participated in Columbia Business School's Senior Leadership Program for nonprofit executives.



Veena serves on the MIT Sloan Alumni Board and is a member of the Board of Directors of Global Impact and the Better Business Bureau of Metropolitan New York. At Guardian Life, she serves as the national co-chair of the Women's Leadership Network and is a member of the company's Inclusion & Diversity Council.
