MINNEAPOLIS, MN (January 22, 2018) The Twin Cities chapter of Ellevate Network, the leading network for professional women, announces that it is conducting a special morning coffee session to address Sex Trafficking & The Super Bowl.
Studies show that sex trafficking spikes during national sporting events. Ramsey County Trafficking Task Force prosecutor Karen Kugler will discuss the expected spike in sex trafficking and share ways to help combat these crimes against women and girls in our community. The session will be held on January 26th at The Buttered Tin, located at 237 7th St E, St. Paul, MN. The event is open to the public, and you can register by clicking here.
“It is unacceptable to stand by silently when women and girls are victimized, particularly for something as egregious as sex trafficking in our own backyard,” said Jen Swanson, Co-President of Ellevate Twin Cities. “As professional business women, Ellevate members are committed to ensuring that all women have a route to success. We are proud to raise awareness to help women involved in sex trafficking know that they have a way out,” said Swanson.
