Meet the Professional Women Ellevating OC at a Special 1 Year Anniversary Event in Costa Mesa

Ellevate Network, the nation’s leading network for professional women, celebrates the Orange County Chapter's 1st Anniversary on February 21st with a special event, "Meet the Women Ellevating the OC" featuring women leaders making a difference locally.

With more than 40 chapters globally, Ellevate Network provides ambitious professional women with opportunities to connect with one another locally in order to expand their network and develop their skills to be successful at work and life.

Ellevate Network President Kristy Wallace said, “I am amazed and inspired by the women of Ellevate Orange County. Their dedication to professional success, collaboration and innovation is a driving force behind a thriving local economy. The community’s commitment to supporting each other through mentoring, business development, and leadership development will ensure that all women have the opportunity to succeed.”

The anniversary event will be held at the beautiful Westin Hotel in Costa Mesa, California, and features a fireside chat about women in leadership, with special guests who will share their business experiences and life insights:

  • Susan B. Parks, President and CEO of Orange County United Way; Susan leads the 93-year-old health and human services organization toward improving lives and strengthening Orange County by focusing on the building blocks for a good quality of life: Education, Income, Health, and Housing.
  • Scharrell Jackson, Partner, COO and CFO of Squar Milner one of the largest national accounting firms. Scharrell has played a major role in the organizations growth and in the successful execution of more than six mergers and acquisitions.
  • Katie Rucker, President and COO of MacKenzie Corporation; Katie leads the operations at MacKenzie, a family run research and analytics firm focused on providing clients insights to create meaningful brand experiences which the Orange County Business Journal named one of the top women-owned businesses in OC.

Judith Lukomski, Ellevate OC Chapter President and Founder of Transitions Today Performance Consulting shared, "The community response to the Ellevate OC chapter has been exceptional because we are inclusive and diverse with an international platform. Our chapter affords OC professional women a unique forum for intentional networking sessions, education and social impact. We're dedicated to a 50/50 world where women are leading at every level and are excited to be hosting this special event." Judith will be moderating Wednesday's fireside chat.

Wednesday February 21, 2018 will be a memorable evening with motivational guest speakers, networking, light refreshments, and door prizes. The chapter is grateful for the support from the local business community, Wyndham Resorts, Kendra Scott, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet high achieving professional Orange County women, as well as learn more about Ellevate Network membership and discuss important tips for personal and professional success.

Debra Fitts, Chapter Treasurer and Sr. Manager, State & Local Government & Education at American Express said of the chapter, "Over the past year OC Ellevate has hosted monthly compelling events for our members and potential members alike. We’re focused on meeting the needs of our diverse group of professional women, not only from an industry perspective but also from an age and demographic perspective as well.
