Ellevate Network Rolls Out Second Iteration of Annual Raise Her Voice Campaign In Honor of International Women’s Day and National Women’s History Month in March 2021
NEW YORK (PRWEB) DECEMBER 03, 2020
Ellevate Network, the leading community for women+, will be spearheading the second iteration of Raise Her Voice: Untold Stories of Women in the Workplace, a special initiative focusing on the personal stories of women within the Ellevate community in honor of International Women’s Day and National Women’s History Month. March 8th is International Women’s Day, a globally recognized day honoring the various achievements of women, as well as a call to action for moving the needle on gender equality. Since 1987, March is recognized as National Women’s History Month, celebrating the accomplishments of American women.
Ellevate Network is a platform for well-deserved, yet underrepresented voices. Throughout December, women and active allies will be encouraged to nominate themselves, or another woman in their life, to share their remarkable and compelling stories of triumph, tribulation, and adventure with others in their local communities. Through January, the community will be encouraged to vote on their favorite stories. Nominees with the most votes will be asked to speak at a virtual Raise Her Voice story slam event later in the year.
Through Raise Her Voice, Ellevate will provide the opportunity for women to tell their story at various virtual events throughout March 2021, hosted by an appointed team of local leaders from cities like Boston, Charleston, Chicago, Dubai, Fairfield and Westchester Counties, Houston, Long Island, Los Angeles, Madrid, Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, Twin Cities, and Washington D.C.
“In 2020, the Raise Her Voice campaign inspired 600+ women to nominate their friends, family, and colleagues so that their stories would be heard and amplified.” said Kristy Wallace, Ellevate Network CEO. “As we head into 2021, the pandemic’s impact on women in the home and workplace, the ongoing need for equity in the world, and the drive for a better future amplifies the need for women’s stories to be heard even more. It takes incredible strength and courage to share a story, but we hope through Raise Her Voice we can continue to provide a platform to highlight the voices of women across the world.”
To nominate yourself or another woman in your life, log on to RaiseHerVoice2021.com. The voting process will begin in mid-December.
