Female Role Model: My mama. A rockstar (not literally), who left school and her small country town at 15 and now holds numerous master degrees, has been CEO, and senior executives at many companies where she effected amazing change in the areas of aged care and disability employment, not to mention brought up 3 kids whilst working two jobs and at college. She taught me to be one thing - me. Oh! And to never stop dancing. I'll adore and honor her forever for that.
Favorite Ellevate Memory: Took place at Take Back Feminism, one of my fav events to date. I had invited a good friend who brought his mom as a guest. The speakers and discussion were phenomenal and after the panel as we were having a celebratory margarita she tells me, with tears in her eyes that the last time she witnessed such a conversation was listening to Germain Greer in the 60's. It made me feel so aware off how important it is to amplify these conversations and proud to be working towards achieving Ellevate's mission.
Favorite Karaoke Jam: A moment of enlightenment. A fateful night on W 33rd Street. BOOM. It hits me. The Cranberries, Zombie. So many great memories of that song. And what a jam!
