Tina Pettigrew

Director of Communications

Tina Pettigrew’s brand-focused and personable approach is what makes her such a dynamic Director of Communications at Ellevate.

Prior to joining the Ellevate team, Tina worked for a number of esteemed institutions including the United Nations, the NYU/Bellevue Program for Survivors of Torture, Workforce Professionals Training Institute and the YMCA, where her experience ranged from human rights advocacy and law to professional development and training, with a focus on social media marketing and customer relationship management. She earned her MA in Bioethics from New York University as well as a BA in Health Science, with a concentration in Business, from the University of Florida.

Tina defines and refines Ellevate’s voice by communicating with the press and media, engaging our social following, and developing the company's key marketing campaigns (Invest in YourselfFemale Role ModelOwn ItTake Back FeminismYour SquadMy YearMobilize WomenRedefine Activism). She cultivates partnerships that are mutually beneficial and speak to Ellevate's Values; manages SEO strategy and syndications; and oversees all communications, including but not limited to writing thought leadership pieces that the Ellevate community needs (like this Equal Pay Day Guide, Ellevate's Top Resources for Professional Women, and this homage to Female Role Models).

Tina has a reputation for honest and respectful communication, creative problem solving, high quality content creation/ strategy, true brand building, and the development of thought leadership that leads to positive business outcomes. She led the projects of articulating Ellevate Network's Values & Guiding Principles and developing The Member Pledge.

In her spare time, Tina trains in MMA, chats with her 100 year old grandmother, cuddles her dog and cat, and makes a mean dark-chocolate pistachio sea salt granola.
