#MobilizingWomen Removing the Silence

How do we expect to change things if we still don’t have the courage to talk about what’s wrong inside our companies? How can we grow if the people who are trying to move us forward are disbelieved, discarded, even threatened? #MeToo and #TimesUp broke the silence, but there are other barriers to break on the road to equality.

A new wave of employee activism has taken shape in the last couple of years. From employees organizing walk-outs to protest the culture at their company, to the sharing of transparent pay information and lists denouncing misconduct of executives in full industries (media anyone?) we know that the balance of power has to change and that we’re stronger when we stand together. But how do we get the courage to speak up? How do we organize? And, if and when the time comes, how do we balance the potential repercussions?
