But in the last two years we’ve seen state-wide legislature changes that are causing a lot of harm to minority communities. The internet touches all aspects of our lives. From the way we communicate with each other, and consume news and entertainment, to how we learn and socialize. Everything has a place online. And yet, there are sources that intend to cause harm - either by hurting, demeaning, and damaging people through comments and bullying, or by spreading misinformation that can have a tremendous impact on world events. How do we keep companies and people accountable for their actions behind a screen?

Together, they cost the United States approximately $180 billion and 120,000 unnecessary deaths annually.
