In April 2011, Women for Sustainable Growth (WSG), an initiative by the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University and the International College at Zayed University, held an Inaugural Summit hosted by Nordea and the UAE Embassy in Sweden and co-sponsored by 85 Broads. The aim of WSG is to create a network of female leaders between Scandinavia and the Middle East, and the conference explored “best practices” for developing sustainable businesses and organizations, addressing and overcoming cultural misunderstandings, directing state policy changes to foster greater female participation, and training aspiring female leaders. Join us for a Jam Session with Jaleh Taheri to learn more about the work of the WSG and the findings from the 2-day event!
