Environmental, Sustainable and Governance (ESG) investing gives people the opportunity to create social change through investment strategies. According to the 2012 Report on Sustainable and Responsible Investing Trends in the United States, assets engaged in ESG represent approximately 11.3% of the $33.3 trillion in total assets under management. In just two years, funds considered to be socially responsible saw an increase of 22% in investments showing enormous interest from investors.
