American women have voted at higher rates than men in every election since 1980 — and 2016 was no exception. But with the 2016 presidential election behind us, the question on everyone’s mind is, “what now?” Join All In Together Campaign CEO Lauren Leader-Chivée for an Ellevate Jam Session on the importance of full political participation (especially between elections) and how to use your voice and influence on behalf of the issues you care about most--regardless of what side of the political aisle you sit on.
Ellevate is partnering with All InTogether to bring a series of joint programs, live events and virtual trainings — including a Women in Financial Services Forum and a Women in Tech Forum — as well as web based trainings on political advocacy. Tune into this Jam Session, the kick-off event for this series, to learn more.
Lauren Leader-Chivée is a writer, researcher and thought leader on diversity and women’s issues-in the workplace, in politics and in between. Lauren’s book Crossing The Thinnest Line (Hachette, Sept 2016) argues diversity is the most under-leveraged economic asset in the United States. She has co-authored a long list of research studies from global think tank Center for Talent Innovation, where she served as President, and her opinion pieces run the gamut from the Harvard Business Review and Inc., to Marie Claire magazine and The Huffington Post.
We'll be live tweeting this Jam Session, so follow along with @EllevateNtwk and #WomenInPolitics.
